Alexander Wang’s spring collection continued on with what he does so well. Super cool, super sexy streetwear. His spring range literally took to the streets around New York with a bus load of models, and trucks filled with tungsten lights, stopping off at various spots for an all-in series of public shows.
The collection saw for a mix-and-match approach with separates crossing over and layering in all sorts of configurations. In some instances this was done so cleverly that it was hard to tell how these would have been constructed. The remainder was made up of some super hot pants. One-legged sequinned jeans were the standout, as too were the zipped up suits that could be as revealing or closed up to match one’s mood. Short and sharp, and what you’ve come to expect from Wang, but one that showed a designer who’s become a master of his genre.
