I wanted to capture the shapes created by the contrast between sunshine and shadows.
I used the archway to frame the diagonals of the shadows. I set the ISO to 100 to ensure the image was crisp, aperture to f5.6 to sharpen the frame and shutter speed to 1/1000 to correct the exposure back to 0.
I then waited a very long time for the popular walkway to be clear of people or their shadows so I could take the shot.
In Lightroom, I sharpened the image, increased contrast and adjusted to black and white to refocus on the shapes.
