This throne speaks for itself, literally. It's created from Frankenstein-ed old toys and former household furniture with a spark of electronics. It features a joystick to control the movements as well as ultrasonic sensors; should you get too close, it will awaken.
There is a beautiful union between horror and comedy that I can't help but explore. Both genres feature the notion of modifying of a familiar concept to elicit an intense emotional response. Moreover, this was a test of my own creative and construction abilities. I love traditional art, but I am truly obsessed with robotics. In the monstrous fusing of the two, it is only apt that something both wonderful and terrible was born.
Additionally, the garments in the picture were designed and created by me to especially accompany this piece.
