Hi there! I’m Tarn McConville, an independent graphic designer & full-time creative crocodile based in Auckland.
Currently studying at Media Design School, I am in my final year of completing a Bachelor of Media Design majoring in Graphic Design. Whilst studying I have worked as an independent designer focusing on brand identity and publication for a variety of local businesses and individuals.
My anomalous nature drives my love for design, which only rivals my intense love for coffee.

Overview
Horiyoshi III is known as one of the great tattoo artists of Japan and specialises in traditional irezumi. In collaboration with Auckland Art Gallery original paintings, sketches and photography will be exhibited.
When designing collateral for this project I was mindful to keep the integrity of Horiyoshi’s work the focal point. As Horiyoshi III is a traditionalist I incorporated elements of Japanese design into my work such as the hand bound book and Japanese style drawstring bag and envelope.
