Overview

MARIMBA Bench integrates into the urban landscape of Tuxtla Gutierrez, and tell a story in which the icons of the Chiapas culture are the main characters.

The main element of Marimba is a volume of concrete with bas-reliefs that exalt the beauty of the patterns in the different textiles of Chiapas. Intersected by a stylized marimba and sized to fulfill its main function in this project, as a bench, but functional as a playful instrument, encouraging play and interaction in both children and adults.
