I’m a creative and dedicated person. I’m independent and currently searching different perspectives. I think of myself as curious, determinate and unique. I like challenges and I dedicate myself fully in the search of the tools that will help me get everything I set as a goal.

I was born in a small city on the Northwest of Mexico, since a very young age I developed an afinity for design, specially in fashion. I left home to study at CEDIM in Monterrey, and a semester abroad in Barcelona at BAU Centre Universitari de Disseny.

I’ve been working on internships for 3 years in different areas of design, and work as a freelancer as an illustrator. I’m efficient and hard working and looking to over achieve my goals.

Project details

Overview

I created Same Dress, Different Bodies when I was abroad in Barcelona for a semester on an international exchange. The purpose of this collection comes from an issue I had back home with my sister: she's thinner than me so she can borrow my clothes, but I can't try hers. So I decided to create a collection where any piece can be shared with any size. I used modeling and symmetrical patternmaking for the garments, and the help of 6 friends who have different types of body and sizes, to make sure every piece fitted the same way.

The main idea is for the garment to fit you, not you fit into the garment.
