Overview

I’ve always utterly loved fashion, playing dress ups and always fascinated behind the prospect that what we wear can completely change our whole persona. Fashion, clothing and identity is inevitably linked, as we endeavour to get dressed in the morning, we ultimately make a choice of character we are going to play. Exploring this concept I documented, and recorded my thoughts, trailing and testing the best way to get the idea across, I wanted to make a short film highlighting a woman who constantly identifies as a number of different characters but hasn’t quite grappled and understood her own. Hiding behind different identities is something we can all be guilty of doing when afraid to portray our rawest version. Perhaps all the identities she plays are merely strangers within her. These personas we create within ourselves inevitably define who we are to the world. We have the power to create an extreme statement or none at all, style is nothing short of comprehensive.
