The goal was to create a game to increase enjoyment from music by making it more interactive, turning listening from a passive experience to an active one. This then expanded to see how the game could help lower stress in people, and the game was then designed around that.
There are few mechanics to keep the game simple, and there is not a lot of challenge or ways of losing to also try lower stress; the only way to lose progress is to miss a beat and fall from a ledge, which is only a minor setback.
The game was developed over half a year, going through around 5 sprints where feedback was given at the end of each. This helped to keep the project moving in the right direction.
I did everything myself, from the programming to models to music to levels, trying to make a game that was unique in what it did, and also what it tried to achieve.
