This is my unanticipated collection of surreal self-portraits taken throughout my teenage years so far, ages 12-17. I don't know why I began taking them. I just found a camera and snuck around my dad's office using Photoshop.
Behind each of these pictures there is an individual story. I've been in some weird places taking many a weird picture, spending full days doing nothing but exploring an abandoned house or a riverbed, seeing what I could do with red cellophane, some forks, and a bunch of apples. Nothing excites me more than the race to scramble up the tree, down the bank, or splash into a roadside pond just to beat the 10-second timer. I've learned so much from my self throughout the time I've created these images. My visual art and sense of design has grown because of all the bad photos I was willing to take, to learn from.
