Overview

I very well know this is the last time I'll walk this path. It's a bittersweet moment for me, savouring every step I take.

Before me, a child and his two best friends ran past me. That child walked this way every day for 18 years, through thick and thin. Now he walks this path alone, his friends disappearing into the fading sun. I couldn't help but feel tears roll down my face toward my cheek to cheek smile.

This is the road where I took my first steps
The road I walked every day to school
The road I walked when I discovered love.

And this is the last time I'll walk it.

It felt like I was stepping on clouds, my head completely out of reality at this point.

By the time I was at the end, I saw a sight that I'll truly treasure forever. A sight that left me motionless as a rush of emotions flourished inside me.

I yelled out to the people on the other side, their faces blurred. One name, 3 faces turned towards me.

"See you again sometime."
I took 1 step forward
The road had ended.
