My name is Millie and I am currently seeking to study a postgraduate course of UX & Web Design. I have received a Bachelor of Design in Architecture from the University of Sydney. I have always had a passion for fine arts and design - drawing, painting, graphic design, pottery. I would love to sharpen my skills and get ahead in the web development field as I believe these skills can help me excel in my future career as an architect.

Overview

This series was an exploration of watercolour behaviours and layering of different medias. The process began by aimlessly using watercolour to create random patterns, splatters and playful movements. The introduction of ink accentuated the watercolour's movements and added a layer of complexity to the composition. This project taught me to embrace unexpected occurrences in art and in general by seeing the possibilities of turning it into something new and exciting.

This series was entered as part of a portfolio in the USA Scholastic Art & Writing Awards Competition in 2015 and was awarded with considerable mention.
