Overview

This piece had been created with the thought of what would a modern day rapper wear, take young thug as an example. The pants are constructed from a pair of Levi’s 501 jeans which have been hand distressed. Two big patchwork sheets were sewn up to fit behind the distressing. The way I sewn it into the leg was by splitting the inseam and outer seam on both legs and sewing the it back up with the patchwork. The top of the patch work is sewn in with a black thread, using a zig zag stitch above the top of distressing. I constructed two ‘tapes’ of patchwork to sew into the seams of the pants making the legs and waist wider. Pants were originally size 30 now 32.
The end of the patch work also comes out past the end of the origin Jean. This is done to give the effect of covering the top of a shoe where the laces are.
